Development of the puppies
We begin with socialization when the puppies are small. As a breeder you have a responsibility to give the puppy the best possible chance to become a mentaly firm and reliable dog. Early experiences seems to affect the dog during all of its lifetime. Because of this we try to give the puppy a lot of different positive experiences from the start. Our puppies are raised in our home environment, inside our house together with our family. With the purpose to make the puppy more self-confident, we use socialization-training with different difficulties, always giving the puppy positive experiences.
The Rule Of Seven This is one of our socialization-training programs:
-- By the time a puppy is 7 weeks old, it should have: 1. Been on 7 different surfaces: carpet, concrete, wood, vinyl, grass, dirt, gravel, woodchips, etc...... 2. Played with 7 different types of objects: big balls, small balls, soft fabric toys, fuzzy toys, squeaky toys, paper or cardboard items, metal items, wooden items, milk jugs, etc....... 3. Been in 7 different locations: front yard, back yard, basement, kitchen, car, garage, laundry room, bathroom, crate, kennel, etc.... 4. Met and played with 7 new people: include children and older adults. 5. Been exposed to 7 challenges: climb on a box, climb off a box, go through a tunnel, climb steps, go down steps, climb over obstacles, play hide and seek, go in and out a doorway with a step up or down, run around a fence.... 6. Eaten from 7 different containers: metal, plastic, cardboard, paper, china, pie plate, frying pan, etc.... 7. Eaten in 7 different locations: crate, yard, kitchen, basement, laundry room, bathroom, x-pen, etc...

In addition to this we make small obstacles, where the puppy can climb, crawl, jump, walk and run. Of course, we always put the puppys safety first, it´s supposed to be a positive experience.
When the puppy is 7 weeks old, we perform a small puppytest. This gives us a hint of the puppys mental status. Together with our observations during the 7 weeks the puppies has been here gives us a chance to pick the right puppy for each buyer.
We aim to get all of our breeded dogs mentaly tested in the official test that takes place in Sweden.
The result has been very satisfactory so far and this makes us proud!
